The reasons why games were so popular was because of how fun they were, and how they got to control a character, and they actually got to play games at home, instead of going out to an arcade paying a few cents to play one game each time. A game gets popular by reviews and trailers/commercials, when someone releases their own opinion about a game and says something positive about it, that is when you're convinced that you should get this game. Brainstorming - In the world of game design, what comes first is the idea of the game and what the game would be about. Brainstorming for ideas is an important factor for game design, where you can release your creativeness to other people. Brainstorming is usually for the plot of the game, the main story line, the objects, the background, the locations, and the game sequence, all of these are beneficial in a game and what better way is to figure them out is by brainstorming ideas. 1. I did have some problems with the programming, and that was with having the apples score points. I solved it by adding "score +," then adding the red point, and then proceeding to add the 01 point, and that is how I got the apples to equal 1 point. 2. The student who played my game commented that I should spread out the apples more or place them in more easier spots to get instead of putting them in places where it's hard to control your character.
