Scratch Project Proposal

You are a Pokemon Trainer named, "Red," and you are challenged by another Pokemon Trainer that you know of named, "Gold." What happens is that you and your rival are to have a battle. You are from the Kanto region and he is from the Johto region. You can either lose or win the battle, after the battle is decided, it will have a different ending.           The characters will be in pixelated at first, but when you start the battle sequence, the sprites will be changed into a more realistic close-up of what the people would look like. They won't exactly be created nor moving so there won't be any controls besides clicking. I'll be looking up some sprites and using them for my project.            The coding will be pretty difficult and long. What I want is to have the two sprites talk to each other at the beginning, which I can do by using the "say ___ for _ sec" and the "wait __ sec" codes. After that I want the sprites to

I didn't have any problems regarding the programming besides making a timer for the game. All I really had trouble doing was making the "Player 1" and "Player 2" backdrops, because they were being placed wrong. I fixed it by dragging the text box to the middle area. 2. I made the game a two player game, I did this because I didn't want players to go against a bot that would have perfect movement so the game could never end. I did this by copying down  the player one codes for moving and changing the "If __ key is pressed?" to "W" and S" for Player 2. I've also increased the movement speed of the ball, I did this by changing the "Move ___ steps" to

What I mostly had trouble with, is the fixing the laps. I got mixed up with some of the Data codes, as I did use "Change Player 1 Laps" instead of  "Set Player 1 Laps." as it was messing up my laps and wasn't resetting the laps whatsoever. Another problem that I had with the laps is the coordinates, when I changed the map layout, I forgot to change the coordinates and that messed up my laps as well, they weren't changing. When I went to go look for the problem I decided to change the coordinates a little bit, "Wait until 'x position < (Coordinate)'" was off, when I changed it to another coordinate that fit the track. I had fixed the laps. 2. I changed the race t

Kodu Pac-Man

1. My game is quite similar to the original. I've had the score add up to "100" to actually winning the game instead of having multiple random points adding up to the score. Also, I made the power ups make you speed up and have it add "10" instead of it adding "1." 2. Well, the most obvious one would be the outline of the whole stage, it's smaller and not even blue and black. However, I did make the Kodu's into the four Ghost's and changed their colours into the ones the ghosts are, that would also mean the I have chnaged the Cycle-Bot to yellow as well, representing as "Pac-Man." 3. Some difficulties were having the apples add up to the points to win, and I fixed this by deleting some of the apples and playing it over and over again to make sure I HAVE to collect all the apples instead of leaving a few. 4. The only feedback that I have received from beta-testers, were to keep the apples more straight, and make one

Video Games: The Movie

1. The reasons why games were so popular was because of how fun they were, and how they got to control a character, and they actually got to play games at home, instead of going out to an arcade paying a few cents to play one game each time. A game gets popular by reviews and trailers/commercials, when someone releases their own opinion about a game and says something positive about it, that is when you're convinced that you should get this game. Trailers and commercials are in effect as well by showing the in-game sequences and what the game is like. 2. In the 1980's there was a game that was released by Atari, to collaborate with Universal Studios and the movie E.T. at the time. So Atari rushed this game, and wasn't perfected, and Atari produced millions of cartridges and copies of this game, and it turned out to be the worst game that was ever produced in the history of gaming, Atari soon went out of business after. 3. Of course, games are a form of art. The storyli

Game Designer Skills

Brainstorming - In the world of game design, what comes first is the idea of the game and what the game would be about. Brainstorming for ideas is an important factor for game design, where you can release your creativeness to other people. Brainstorming is usually for the plot of the game, the main story line, the objects, the background, the locations, and the game sequence, all of these are beneficial in a game and what better way is to figure them out is by brainstorming ideas. Business - Business is EXTREMELY important, your main point to make games is to make money and have fun while working. This also connects to brainstorming, with your ideas all planned for your game, you'll need to see if people would enjoy something like your game. Usually, people who play games will either like the game or not but there will always be a majority, whether the demographics say the don't like it or they don't, there will ALWAYS be a majority side. People mostly play games for co

1. I did have some problems with the programming, and that was with having the apples score points. I solved it by adding "score +," then adding the red point, and then proceeding to add the 01 point, and that is how I got the apples to equal 1 point. 2. The student who played my game commented that I should spread out the apples more or place them in more easier spots to get instead of putting them in places where it's hard to control your character.

I would first scroll through google images to see what I was mostly interested in and what I liked the most, like the Supreme logo. With the "Supreme" logo, I coloured the box black from the outside by going to Layer>New Adjustment Layer/Hue/Saturation and press "OK" and changed the "Supreme" logo's colour like that. I then saved the images into my desktop and start to post them onto Photoshop, I would also crop them into an appropriate size by going to Edit > Free Transform to crop them into a smaller size.
